Last month, the Las Vegas police carried out a no-knock raid at the wrong apartment—and an innocent young man named Isaiah Williams was killed.
Since the unjustifiable police killing of Isaiah, Las Vegas police tried to cover up their wrongdoing, criminalize Isaiah who wasn't a suspect, and arrested the actual person of interest at a different location.
But in a plot twist, the Clark County DA had to ultimately release the other person of interest due to not having enough evidence to prosecute.
Now, an innocent young man was killed while in search of a man they didn't have enough evidence to prosecute in the first place.
This is why no knock raid aren't safe for anyone involved.
It is a military tactic that is inherently dangerous and disproportionately carried out in Black communities.
Help us ban no knock raids everywhere!
